Woodie's always does a good job on the work that they perform, but this last time, I was disappointed to find that the mechanic left greasy finger/handprints on the inside of my car door, steering wheel and seat. I understand that things can happen and it's a dirty job, but a manager needs to look the car over before its given back to the owner. I may look elsewhere next time.

They fit me in for a same day appointment to get my car inspected. They were prompt and courteous.

Brought my car in for a diagnosis (was charged about $100, most of their competitors do this free of charge) just for them to tell me that I needed to replace my ignition coils and spark plugs, they wanted to charge $1200. Woodie's was claiming that the parts were expensive ($75 per coil) and I need some BS service in addition to that. I know a project like this is not that much, I decided to pick up my car later that day and I had to wait 15 minutes to get my keys while the guy behind the counter was finishing his conversation with another client (who probably got ripped off) about how he used to be fit back in his youth. In the end I bought all the part online (OEM), watched a video on youtube on how to replace the coils in my car and saved myself $1040. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or at least get a second opinion before you get ripped off at this place.

I usually go to another company but I was going out of town and needed an oil change and they were booked so since Woody's was a block from my office I went there. I called and they said bring it in. I walked in and 3 guys were sitting at the counter no real urgency to stand up, I said" boy you guys look comfortable " finally one of the men got up and went to the computer, took my info. None of them were overly friendly . When I came to pick it up one of the guys was up front sitting in the exact same chair and checked me out . I was shocked when he said $40.00, seriously ? for an oil change. Long story short is I will be returning to the company I normally go to because they give much better customer service. Woody's made me feel like they were doing me a favor, my "other Company" always makes me feel like they value my business. Customer service should be the same whether you get something small like an oil change or something big

Woodie's is outstanding. The quality of their work is excellent, and their customer service is second to none - friendly, flexible, honest and trustworthy. Last month I took my car in for a basic checkup before going out of town and they noticed and promptly fixed a problem which probably would have stranded me in a remote area. They genuinely care about doing a great job. We've taken our cars to them for about 25 years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

I called them and they got me in right away. They offered me a shuttle back to my job and then picked me up after they were done with my vehicle free of charge. This was very convenient for me and allowed me to miss minimal work time to get my car serviced. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

115.00 to plug a vacuum line plus 20.00 to the mechanic because the guy upfront said to like that was going to be it. But the came the bill. 115.00 DOLLARS took 15 min. They suck

We have lived in Charlotte for 27 years and used various car repair companies, including dealers and independents. Woodie's is the best of them all. The amenities are nice - shuttle, waiting area, etc. - but the best thing is the integrity and quality of service. When we've done comparison shopping, we've always found Woodie's to have the best price. When we've had a tough problem that the dealer mechanics couldn't figure out, the guys at Woodie's have always had the right diagnosis. When we are likely to get a better deal elsewhere, Woodie's has been honest about that and sent us on down the road. One measure I have of merchant integrity is someone who tells me I don't need something I was all ready to purchase. Woodie's has lived up to that measure several times. For example, we needed tires for both of our cars (Lincoln's head was fully exposed), and we checked at Woodie's and at a tire place. The tire place told us we needed a special premium tire for both cars, but the fellows at Woodie's asked us a bunch of questions about the use of each car and noted their respective ages, then told us we would get equal safety and mileage going with a lower priced tire on one of the cars. That was several years ago, and their advice has proven accurate. After several years of such good experiences, the only time we take our cars any place else is when the guys at Woodie's advise us to.

ZERO STARS. I have gone to Woodies downtown(uptown for you locals) many times in the past, when living near, without problem or trust issues. I scheduled(by appt.) an inspection at the Carmel Rd. location, waited an hour, then was told there were some "issues". Car is in great shape, new, low miles, no tint, etc. etc. Just one week prior I had the car at the dealership for an oil change, where I also got air/cabin filter changed, a fuel service performed, and drain/replace brake fluid, as well as had all brake pads checked. When I approached the desk to discuss the "issues", I was told that front pads were recommended and 'very low', yet the dealer, one week prior, said they were fine. I was also told I should replace the air/cabin filter, get my "dirty" brake fluid changed and have a fuel system service performed. I questioned them immediately, they rechecked, said the brake fluid was actually fine, and that the other two items were just recommendations without any actual check or confirmation. They also stated the one of the front struts was "leaking", and that failed the state inspection. They showed me. No active leaking, no drip, etc. Yes, there was fluid/grease/grime around the top housing of the strut, but a safety failure....give me a break. Oh, they then quoted a replacement for ~$1,000. After the leaky strut convo all I could think about was some of the vehicles roaming the streets of Charlotte & Meck County. I understand it is up to the garages discretion, but this was nothing more than a money grab and potential attempt to take advantage of a customer who they thought they could pull the typical garage speak tricks on. STAY AWAY from this place. I'm disappointed. I took my car to a reputable garage immediately after this, no tricks, no under the table agreement, and obviously passed without issue, all while making them aware of what transpired at Woodie's. The state inspection process SHOULD NOT BE USED as a vehicle for shops like this to gouge customers or make false claims simply to boost their business & profit, due to the state mandating they take a mere $30 for an inspection.

Yeah these guys are rotten, they smiled at me and told me I was "good to go" as they handed me a failed inspection. I confronted them about it and the guy acted like he wasn't even the one that did it. This wasn't the first time, I gave them more chances than they deserved because they had a convenient location. I always left with a bad taste in my mouth. They are obviously preying on people's ignorance to keep their business afloat
