Don't understand what they are doing. Came with a specific problem - battery drains after leaving the engine on while the car is not moving for about 5 minutes/dying while driving in an extremely hot weather. They told me that it will cost me around 1100$ to fix it. I did the fix, and a day after while I was 150 miles from home the same drain happened and left me stranded while it's 90 degrees out. After going through a nightmare where I got stranded about 10 times and had to jump the car, I brought it back, and they told me that I have a transmission problem and it will cost 8000$(!!) to fix it. When I asked them how come the battery is dying if the problem is the transmission, my advisor told me that this is the first time he heard that I have an issue with the battery (I begged them to just leave the car on for 5 minutes and they will see the problem from the first moment I brought the car over, but they simply didn't listen to me). I had to research the issue myself online and told my advisor to check 3-4 possible causes for the battery problem such as old battery terminals, low brake fluid, faulty speed sensor and such. He told me "ok". 2 days later I'm getting a call where they basically saying everything is fine. I asked them if they did any repairs and he told me that they didn't, but they left the car on for an hour yesterday and everything was fine. I came to pick up the car the same day and what do you know, the third time I started the engine the battery is continuously dying and nothing was fixed. I just don't understand why would they spend almost a week of my time in total, charge me 1100$ for some generic repair which had nothing to do to my specific problem and won't even try to fix the real issue. Very disappointed.
Demitry, we appreciate your business. We did in fact test the systems you had requested as a courtesy upon your last visit, and will only perform repairs when there is evidence of failure. We have re-sent an email of invoice with diagnostic notes for your reference. Based on the course of testing over the days the vehicle was here, we have made our recommendations based on confirmed faults/failure, and we are still happy to perform these repairs if anything changes.
