The level of customer service was exceptional from the outset. I ordered new tires online, and two of them had to be shipped in over a holiday weekend. I got a call from Cade, a Service Manager, to let me know when they would be in and when I should bring my car in. Then, he called again on the scheduled day to let me know they were there and that we were on schedule. This level of service is rare to find anymore. Further, the office was exceptionally clean, the other Service Managers were pleasant and helpful, and everything was done on schedule. What more could one ask for? Thank you, Woodys.

I went there with an urgent request, since my car started making weird noises. In spite of it being a busy Saturday schedule, they took in the car for diagnosis, and guided me withe root cause-exhaust pipe leak and advised me with further help on how and where to get it fixed, since I am a novice with cars and new to the state. It helped and as well made my day and plans. Really am glad I went to them

Thank you Vishal for taking time out to share your experience with us! We're glad we could help diagnose the issue with your car and provide guidance for getting it fixed. It's our mission to offer top-notch service to all our customers, regardless of how busy we are. We hope to see you again next time you need assistance!

Incredible service, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Work was done in a timely manner and they went above to even take pictures of the service. Definitely will be back and recommend. Their shuttle service is also fantastic ! Super convenient if you live WITH-IN 10min of the shop.

Highway robbery! We were charged over $500 for them to replace a standard $200 battery, absolutely ridiculous. Just go to AutoZone or replace the battery yourself. Don't go to this place...

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Gilles. We strive to provide fair pricing and exceptional service. Your feedback will be shared with our team to improve our customer experience.

They tried to scam me out of a $1600 (initially $2099) rack and pinion replacement when I got my state inspection from them. After realizing that the "oil leak" they pointed out was clearly really old oil that was so dry i could rub it off my finger without any left over residue, I decided to get a second opinion from a reputable shop and they passed it even after I pointed the "leak" woodies showed me out to them. The shop I went too told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the rack and pinion and that the residue might not even have been from the rack and pinion... Admittedly I probably shouldn't have gone to a repair shop for an inspection considering the conflict of interest, however its also true that they lied to my face, and are pretty scummy for that, I wouldn't recommend going to a place like this for any reason as you'd never want to to get repairs done from people willing to lie to your face like that.

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize that your experience with our shop left you feeling dissatisfied. We genuinely appreciate your visit and value all feedback, as it helps us continue to improve. That said, we must adhere to the standards set by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV), particularly regarding safety and emissions inspections. Per NCDMV regulations, any leak within the power steering system is considered a safety hazard. While we understand the cost of replacing a steering rack can be overwhelming, it was important for us to show you the visible leaks and explain our findings transparently. A power steering fluid leak, if left unaddressed, can potentially lead to steering malfunctions, which poses a serious risk to vehicle safety. For this reason, we were required to mark the inspection as a fail. We understand that you were able to obtain a passing inspection at another facility. Unfortunately, this does happen on occasion. However, it’s important to note that not all facilities follow inspection guidelines as strictly as required. The state has protocols in place to monitor such inconsistencies, as leniency in inspections can compromise driver safety. Please rest assured, scamming or misleading our customers is not—and never will be—a part of our business model. Our goal is to provide honest, accurate information and to prioritize the safety and well-being of every customer. We understand this level of diligence may not always be comfortable, but our commitment is to act in your best interest as professionals. You were provided with a link to the digital vehicle inspection, which includes clear images showing the leaks from the power steering rack and pinion. In addition, while you were at the shop, we personally took you out to the vehicle and showed you the leak in real time. These documented findings—including the photos—serve as valid justification for failing the vehicle under North Carolina safety inspection guidelines. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position, and we are always open to further discussion if you have any remaining questions or concerns. Warm regards, Woodies Auto Service-Ballantyne

I brought my vehicle here for an AC compressor replacement. Less than a month later, the AC started blowing warm air again. When I returned, I was told the Schrader valves were leaking — which I paid to replace — but the issue still wasn’t resolved. Now the shop is saying that multiple other AC parts (condenser, expansion valve, etc.) are also bad and need replacing, totaling over $1,300. None of this was mentioned during the initial compressor job, and there’s been no clear explanation or proof that these parts were tested or failed. It feels like they’re stacking new repairs on top of an incomplete or misdiagnosed job. I expected that when a major component like a compressor is replaced, the shop would fully inspect the system — not leave things unchecked and then blame the customer later. Very disappointed with the lack of ownership, communication, and transparency. I’ve already paid for repairs once and now being told I must spend more without real answers. Be cautious and ask detailed questions before approving any work. Also, After paying the full amount for AC repairs, I simply asked the front desk staff to show me the AC temperature output, since the technician mentioned it should fall within a certain range. Instead of helping, I was told, “You can go to another shop and check there” — because they didn’t have time. This kind of response is completely unprofessional, especially when the job was paid for and the issue still wasn’t resolved. I didn’t expect such dismissive behavior from a business that should be standing behind its work. I came in for help, not to be brushed off. Regards Prince Sachdeva
