Uptown
I don’t know what happened to Woodie’s Auto uptown location, but the people who work there now are damaging Woodie’s brand! I come there for an oil change sometime in September of last year, ok? After I get the car back I notice some strange noise underneath. I look under and I see that the plastic tray under the engine is not secured (see the pic), so that thing was dragging causing that noise. Well, that’s some sloppy work I’m thinking, the mechanic didn’t secure the tray properly after they changed oil. I take the car back telling them that they need to do better, and the blame game starts. According to them, it was me who hit something which made the tray come loose. Yeah, right, out of all the parts of the car I hit that EXACT part that you guys touched during the oil change IMMEDIATELY after you touched it. Anyway, they fixed it somehow (I don’t know how, the tray is broken now). I get the car back and a day later, check-the-engine light is on. Could be a coincidence not related to their sloppy work, right? But it’s just too many coincidences! I take the car back and argue with them and listen to their blame game again and yada yada, long story short, they did not fix the check-the-engine light issue (I had to go to a different mechanic). Instead, they pat themselves on the shoulder about a great customer service they provided by fixing the tray problem they themselves caused. Fast forward six months later, I go for an oil change to a different mechanic and he looks at the notes and that’s when I learn that they put the wrong type of engine oil in September. Guys, don’t you know the 2013 Volkswagen Passat needs fully synthetic oil?!
