Took the car for the diagnostic(160$) of check engine light intermittently coming on. Was told that the issue may be caused by wiring or faulty PCM and suggested fixing the wiring(80$) to see if that resolves the issue. After the wiring job was done, I was informed that the issue had been resolved. When I took the car, on the same day, the check engine light came back. I went back to the shop, and they told me the root cause is with PCM, but they do not have one and can not order one, basically telling me to go and fix the problem elsewhere where ever I want. They charged me 280$ total(160$ + 80$ + taxes) with zero progress in fixing the original problem. Very incompetent technicians Update ------- Took the car to Toyota Service Center, where it was diagnosed issue was caused by a faulty sensor. After replacing the sensor, the problem was resolved. This proved how incompetent technicians are working at this auto service!!!

Our 3 kids left Indiana (May 31) for a trip to Nashville, TN then on to Gatlinburg, then on to Charlotte, NC in our 2008 Jeep Commander. The 5th day of their trip, they arrived in Charlotte. They were well, but unfortunately the Jeep was not. It had overheated and required work. The kids received a recommendation for Woodies Uptown, which was good, because it was close to Johnson and Wales which was the real reason for being in Charlotte. They had to be back in Indiana 3 days later but Daniel informed them that the Jeep could not be repaired in that length of time due to the extent of the needed repair. We made arrangements for Greyhound bus trip (a life experience in itself) to bring them home. Daniel was our contact and we had a few conversations over the next several days/weeks. It seemed that the Jeep was fairly complicated in not only getting apart but then getting back together. Daniel was always so courteous and truly seemed to understand our dilemma. We feel that we were blessed to have Woodies perform the needed repairs. When the work was completed, Daniel gave us a recommendation for a Transport Company to get the Jeep home. That was another blessing. The Jeep was picked up early that afternoon and arrived at our location the next morning. It has now been home for about 2 weeks and seems to be running great. We are VERY pleased with the work that Woodies did and if Eli should decide to go to Johnson and Wales AND have a vehicle there, we know who the "go to" repair center will be! Thanks immensely Faye, David and the kids

Woodie's was recommended as having knowledgeable mechanics and straightforward pricing. I called to get a quote on rear suspension work based on an already diagnosed finding. I was told I had to make an appointment (okay, no problem), drop the vehicle off (but you already know where to look), I would be charged to "look" at it (but wouldn't tell me how much), wouldn't give a general estimate for parts and labor (it's literally on the computer on front of you), nor tell me whether the cost of "looking at it" would go towards any repairs (so much for straightforward pricing). Needless to say, I didn't go just so they could take my money and my time. If I can't trust you to tell me basic information (diagnostic fee), then how can I trust your work. If you have to see me to quote services you do everyday, then that's a bigger problem.

So far, our experience with Dan and Woodie's has been great. They have accommodated us when needed a quick oil change and took care of us for an inspection. As our local garage, it makes it easy on us to have good service so close.

Great Place! My daughter and i were traveling and had car issues. We visited a few places, first place would not even look up from the counter, next places were busy and could not even take time to run a code. We finally came across Woodie's, and they were wonderful. even thou they were busy, they took the car right away and ran diagnostics to figure out the problem. We were fixed and back on the road again in less than an hour. Highly recommend.

I found Woodie's Auto Shop via Google when I found out my normal place of business was no longer open. I was in desperate need of an oil change and didn't know where to turn. I called Woodie's and they explained that they didn't have any spots open until two days from when I called. I explained the sense of urgency, they placed me on hold and when they picked back up...there was Karl. He asked me to explain what was going on and immediately told me to come on over and he'd get me taken care of because he didn't want me to drive any further in a vehicle that was unsafe to operate. I drove right over, they took my car back, and I chatted with Karl. This gentleman told me that he treats all his customers the way he'd want his mother/wife/daughter to be treated and it was clear he meant it. They put 4 quarts of oil in my car and sent me home until they could squeeze me in the following day for a full oil change. Came in the next Dat and it the same superior customer service from everyone at the shop. They took my car back, took pictures for documentation of everything they were looking at, and recommended services that were needed. I just can't speak highly enough of this business. They've got a new lifelong customer. Please know this praise is no fluke, either, because their parking lot stays full 100% of the time. I recommend you stop by the next time you have any sort of vehicle maintenance.
