I would like to start off by saying that Daniel is extremely kind and has excellent customer service skills. Now, if you love yourself and want to save hundreds of dollars, stay as far away from this place as possible. I should have read the reviews prior to going but I guess we live and we learn. I initially got my car towed to Woodie's around 2 months ago due to it not starting up. Upon picking it up, I was told that nothing was wrong with it. Now, I may appear to not know a single bit about cars but I knew that there had to be at least one thing out of ordinary. I kept asking questions regarding what the issue could be and got nothing. Got my car inspected there about 2 weeks ago and passed with no issues regarding the battery. Fast forward to this week and guess what happened? My car wouldn't start and had the exact same issues the first time around. Took it back to Woodie's and suddenly they found that a fuse was stuck on the open position and draining my battery. My question to them was, "So why was this issue not addressed the first and second time?". Crickets. The scam kinda ate though. I respect that the shop is trying to chase the bag but just don't fumble it

Daniel Benton provided me with excellent service yesterday. He was knowledgeable and professional when walking me through the results of my inspection. Definitely coming back for my next service

A HORRENDOUS PLACE!!!! NEVER EVER EVER EVERRRRRRRR TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! My husband & I brought our car here to fix an engine leak. They originally told us it would take “a couple days”…… Not only did they take our car for a WEEK but did literally nothing to it!? The diagnostic they charged us $180 for: WAS WRONG! They gave us a $1600 quote for the WRONG THING!? We also got our window broken by some random homeless person while it was parked there!? (Mind you.. during this 7 DAY timeframe they lied about working on it twice.. and didn’t call us when the vandalism occurred. We had to inquire about what was taking so long to complete the work… and Charles casually mentioned it.) When Charles told us about the window he explained it like our car was involved in some type of urban street beef. The insinuation felt racist. Either way: he genuinely couldn’t care less about the condition of our car. We eventually took our car to the dealership for what REALLY needed to be fixed. Paid $200 less than what this place said. We can’t even imagine if we actually let them keep our car for WEEKS to complete the WRONG WORK. NEVER AGAIN!

My car's battery was having difficulty maintaining a charge. I lived in an apartment building close to Woodies and often visited the shop for non-automotive things. They seemed to be very reliable and trustworthy at first. On my first visit to Woddies, I paid nearly well over $1k for a new alternator. Despite this significant investment, my car would not start the next morning. Woodies has a "warranty" on all its services, but I had to pay for the towing back for the second visit. Even though I explained to them that I had a new battery installed three days before Woodies installed the alternator, the manager said the new alternator would drain that battery but would not drain a new one installed by Woodies (Point of confusion: if an alternator constantly drains new batteries, how will a car ever start? No one at woodies could explain that to me). Two days later, my car could still not hold a charge and again was undrivable. I had to have it towed again for the 3rd visit with Woodies. They kept the car overnight and the next day told me they had no idea what was going on. They asked me what I would recommend. When I picked up the car the 3rd time, the manager told me it might be a complicated electrical issue, and he couldn't even begin to give me an estimate (after I had already paid several thousand dollars). I have very little confidence the Woodies fixed my car or the right problem (evidence: my car still won't start after three visits); I was grossly overcharged for parts and labor. The alternator purchased by Woodies was $600; I googled the alternator part , and the highest price for this part online is $295 (usually around 225). I was also charged 650 for 2.5 hours of labor. I was given no details about what type of technician (if they are experienced or not) or how many techs worked on my car. All in all, nothing was repaired on my vehicle. PS They advertise a shuttle service, but never provide it or offer it. I asked at least 3 times and always got a no. stay away from this place!

brought my car here for a flat tire. They told me the valve stem was broke so all they had to do it replace it. They ended up replacing my TPMS in that tire and now my three other TPMS sensors are out. When I went to pick up my car, my seat and mirror were moved. I also lost a quarter of a tank of gas. If i wanted to have people take a joy ride in my car, id put it on turo. Would not recommend this location at all.

This is my second time using Woodie's and it confirmed that the first experience wasn't a fluke. Great service, great prices, and great people (shout out to Daniel!). If you're in Uptown, then there's no other place I'd recommend for car service. 10/10. No notes.
