Best place to take your car in for service. They have a free shuttle service. They have always quickly scheduled an appointment for me when I call. They are friendly and informative. I'm a single female and its been the best car service I've ever received - I've never felt pressure to buy anything extra or felt like they were talking over my head. I recommend them to anyone. I drive a Honda.

Woodie's on Charlottetown Avenue has not only taken great care of my cars over the years, they have been extraordinarily kind and courteous to me. I trust them and appreciate the peace of mind that comes with that. The courtesy shuttle makes regular car maintenance a breeze, too. Thanks!

HONEST and FAIR! I'm wondering how long it's going to take companies to realize that we live in the age of Yelp and savvy consumers. Bad companies will receive bad reviews and on the flip side, places like Woodie's will be rewarded! Woodie's deserves high praise for being honest and treating this young female very fairly today. I had just visited another auto repair service down the road that had tried to COMPLETELY swindle me. As I was driving by Woodie's I decided to drop in. So glad I did!! Steve took great care of me. He addressed my tire needs without bad mouthing the repair facility that had fed me a load of crock before him. That shows a lot of character. I called my dad afterwards to relay the morning's events. He works on cars in a very small town in NC and was so glad that Woodie's didn't overcharge or try to get me to buy a new tire. They treated me like their own daughter! Very reasonable. Thanks so much Steve. I'll be back!

I am editing my original review and giving them 3 stars instead of 1 star. This place is good when it comes to skill. It's just they overcharge which is almost same as dealer. (iI) For Jeep Patriot, the recommended oil is synthetic blend but they used synthetic oil. It's just a basic thing that they should know (1 point down) (iiI) They changed the Cabin Air filter and they charged $75 ($21 - part and $50 labor). Just now I checked in internet on how to replace the Cabin Air-filter. It's just a 2 or 3 minutes job and they charged $50 labor for it ( 1 point down)

Overall good experience. Went in to get my brakes replaced and my oil changed. They didn't try and hassle me with extras. And they got me checked in out and quickly. Though my brother did try to stop by there for an oil change only and they quoted him something much higher than I was charged. Maybe because I was spending money on brakes and rotors they discounted the oil.

Honestly I never take the time to rate anything on Yelp, but Woodies is the kind of place that deserves the praise. I recommend Woodies to everyone I know. I absolutely love this shop and have had only amazing experiences. Before moving to Charlotte I had never had a positive experience with any mechanic. I always felt talked down to, not taken care of and honestly half the time lied to. The staff at Woodies goes out of their way to make the experience welcoming and the service that they provide is fantastic. Not only is it the most enjoyable experience you can have when having to have a car in the shop (their lovely waiting room, shuttle service, communication, flexibility, I could go on for days), you know that you do not have to worry when you leave with your car that you received anything less than their full effort and expertise. They go out of your way to get all of your issues resolved and are truly looking out for you. I cannot express enough how much I love these guys. I feel genuinely safer because of getting my car serviced here. This place is where you want to take your car and your trust. I am living three hours away for the summer and I still came back to Charlotte just so that I could have my car taken care of at Woodies! Thank you all for changing my entire experience of auto shops, you have my business for the long haul!

I brought my car here for an inspection, and they failed it and claimed I needed an additional $1000 worth of work; my struts and engine mount specifically. I've since taken my car to Bill Jarrell's Automotive on Woodlawn and Old Pineville. They were honest, and the issues Woodie's claimed my car had, they didn't see at all. The strange sound my car was making was something else entirely, and Bill Jarrell's fixed it within the day, and for only $300. If you're looking for an honest mechanic in town, go to Bill Jarrell's—or at least, not to Woodie's!

I've switched over to Woody's from my previous mechanic. Yes, Woody's is slightly more expensive than Jed who's fixing cars out in his backyard, but Woody's takes care of me every time. They have always fixed my car on time. Sometimes, they can fix it immediately with no wait. The waiting rooms have wifi, tv, coffee, etc. It's much nicer than any waiting room I've ever seen at a mechanic shop. Staff is always friendly. They are good at explaining what needs to be done and what can wait. My previous mechanic was a worrier and always wanted me to get everything done immediately. Highly recommend if you are willing to play slightly more for a smooth, painless experience. There is one time in particular where I was actually surprised at how cheap the bill was. Not saying that happens every time, but I do appreciate that they keep the costs down when they can. As of this writing, there are two negative reviews for this location. I'm not saying that they didn't have a subpar experience, I just wanted to weigh in to say that I, personally, have never had a negative experience with Woody's. The only reason I didn't give them a five star review is that they can be more expensive than some other places. (Wouldn't we all love cheaper mechanic bills?)

No one likes going to the mechanic when their car is acting up. It's like going to the doctor when you have a mystery pain. You always expect horrible news and expensive bills. Woodie's made an unpleasant process extremely smooth and, dare I say, painless. My car decided to stop working one beautiful Sunday morning. A friend swung by to jump it and it still refused to budge. Fearing the worse (a bad alternator) I looked up mechanics in the area. This chain had good reviews and there was one around the corner, so I decided to give them a try. They were nice over the phone and just as nice in person. Even though I didn't have an appointment (and it was near closing time) they were able to fit me in. The waiting room in this place was surprisingly nice. Clean, comfortable, and it had free soda, coffee, and water. They found the problem (bad battery cable) and fixed it for a reasonable price. I didn't feel gouged by labor or parts costs. I hope I don't have to return to them anytime soon (just like the doctor's office), but if I do I feel very comfortable having them take care of the repairs.
